Is it sad that I think of Monte Python every time I hear about Newt?

No, I'll tell you what's sad, his political strategy. His goal (virtually dashed with Santorum's withdraw) is to have a split convention. Even with Mitt Romney having a firm lead, his hope is that when it comes to the convention, Mitt will fall a few delegates short. Then, he hopes to steal these votes away to get the nomination.

Think about this. His goal is to take the vote OUT of the PEOPLE's hands. Is that really what we want, someone who wants to take away our decision to select the president? Not only that, this guy markets himself as a rebel, a party outsider. So his goal is to get the party leaders to turn on the people and select him. That's a real "outsider" to me.

Newt, not that I really liked you anyway, but you've totally lost my respect.
