The replacement refs
So there's been more exposed that shines light on the replacement refs. Fox News aired a story this morning that exposed that some of these Refs were fired from the Lingere Football League, because they failed to call things like helmet-to-helmet hits and pass intereference that is some of the same calls they are not making in the NFL. That's a problem. But, as always, social media can add levity to any situation.

NFL synopsis week 3 Monday Night Special
Per request, here is my thoughts on the controversy Monday Night.
1) Did the refs make a bad call? The rule is that a tie goes to the offense. Some argue that Jennings had it first and the Seahawks wrestled it away. As the rule is worded, they may have made the right call. Yeah, it looked like an interception, but they followed the letter of the law to the best of their understanding.
2) Jennings was stupid. You don't go for the INT with 0:00 left in the game. You knock it down! Duh!
3) A lot of teams get screwed. My Colts got screwed. It happens. Man up and get over it.
4) YOU ARE THE STINKING PACKERS. They are the Seattle Seahawks. You never should have let this game get that close. If you don't like it, you should have blown them out. Maybe you should help Rogers get rid of the football instead of taking sacks like I take breaths. They looked like they played the game half way. Next time, don't let the game be that close, and you won't lose.

Too busy?
Our President is busy. You'd expect that. He's the president. The middle east is burning. Iran is pursuing nukes. Our education system declines while teacher salaries go up. The cost of health care is skyrocketing. Unemployment is high. Gas and grocery prices have doubled in the last four years.
His solution to these crises? The View. That's right. He doesn't have time to meet with the Prime Ministers of England or Israel, but he has time for Whoopi. He can't take time to confront the leaders or Egypt or Pakistan. But he has time for Letterman. He doesn't have time to discuss the investigation with leaders of Libya. But he has time for a fundraiser with Beyonce.
I can understand that we are less that less than fifty days to the election, and campaigning is important. The problem is that this is ALL that he has done in his first term. Our president is as charismatic as anyone. But I've come to realize that he believes that he is so likable, everything should go well for him. He thought the problem with the Middle east is that people hated Bush, but that they would love him. Turns out that there really are evil people in the world. He thought that if he said things were better, "consumer confidence" would go up and the economy would turn around, just because people liked him enough to do what he said.
This is why he's been giving nicknames like "Campaigner in Chief" and "Celebrity in Chief." It's not that people don't like him. It's that it's not enough. That's why he hasn't shared any ideas, except raising taxes. It's not that he's not likable. It's that he doesn't have any good ideas.
Mr. President, if you want another four years, don't try to get people to like you. We do. But it's hard to reelect someone to a job that they didn't do to begin with.

NFL 12 Week 3 synopsis
This game was a tale of two halves. The first half was all Colts, but in the second half they had a comfortable lead. They took their foot off the gas (which almost cost them the game last week too). In the second half, the Jags poured it on. Unfortunately, the replacement refs did too. They decided to only call penalties against the Colts in the second half. They held, interfered on offense and defense, they pushed and pulled and the refs called penalties on the Colts. They also ignored interference that cost us a drive-saving big play that could have won us the game. Who knows what would have happened if the refs called the game fair.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m also mad at a few Colts players, like Vinetari who doesn’t seem to try unless the game is on the line. And the safeties kept choking up and allowed the Jags a few TDs because they weren’t were they should be to stop them.
And Coach What’s-yer-face (you still have to earn the right for me to bother learning your name), do me a favor. Keep your calling aggressive and stop this “run out the clock during the entire second half” crap. Try to win, not stall.
Rest of the League:
Bills-Browns. You know how I point out that the Browns lose crushingly close games? This one wasn’t close.
Bengals-Redskins. Dang. Bengals looked good. I hope RGIII will calm his cocky butt down now.
Vikings-Niners. That was not the same Vikings team we played. Last week, they beat them. This week, they beat a promising San Fran team.
Titans-Lions. Sometimes, two mediocre teams can have a great game together. In this case, it was a shootout.
Cowboys-Buccs. This was a “Which team can suck worse?” type of game. I’ll also say that the Buccs are proving to be sore losers, but it looks like they’ll have lots of practice at losing.
Chiefs-Saints. Man the Saints are bad.
Jets-Fins. It’s TEBOW TIME. Yeah, that’s right. He had a zero yard carry out of something like a Wild Cat formation. I think they want to lull teams into thinking he’s going to run, then let him rip one later. Also got to say, icing the kicker NEVER EVER WORKS.
Raiders-Steelers. If you’re going to get your first win week three, this is how you should do it. These are two teams with histories. They have histories of producing teams that knock the slobber out of others. So they knocked the slobber out of each other. In the end, Oakland knocked harder. Regardless of outcome, this was a great game. Regarding outcome, it was even better.
Texans-Broncos. Gotta say, I was rooting for the Colt’s division rival in this one. And they put it to Peyton.
Ravens-Patriots. Revenge can be oh so sweet sometimes. Hats off to Corey Smith, who learned that his 19 year old brother was killed in a motorcycle accident, but decided to play anyway. So he went and had the best game of his career. That said, do you know why Tom Brady is such a chump? Well, he’s an arrogant piece of crap, and a self-righteous bully. He’s always been that way. But maybe the pretty boy never grew into a man because his coach is an arrogant piece of crap and a self-righteous bully too. I don’t care what you don’t like; you should NEVER place your hands on a ref. You lost. It’s in the books. If you don’t like it, play harder next time.

PC stupidity
The ACLU threatened to sue Rhode Island schools on behalf of a mother. Why? What had they done? Had they supressed free speech? No. Religion? Nuh-uh.
They had annual dances.
OH NO! That's terrible!
That's right, they were suing over the annual father-daughter and mother-son dances. The schools, fearful of the lawsuit, cancelled the traditional dance.
The ACLU claims that it is disciminatory. The mother is a single mom, and her daughter has no one to take her.
By that logic, we should outlaw marriage, because I am single. We should outlaw sex, because I'm a virgin. We should outlaw the NBA, because I suck at basketball. We should outlaw skinny people, because I am fat.
This selfish stupidity is gonig way out of hand. "It makes me sad because my daughter doesn't have a dad. Therefore I'm going to make everyone ELSE miserable." This is stupid. And shame on RI for not fighting it. And shame on the ACLU for supporting it. How is this liberty? Or did you forget what the "L" stands for? This isn't Sharia Law. No one is threatening the girl with harm. An uncle, or trustworthy friend could take her. Heck, she could go with one of her friend's dads, just to be able to dress up and go.
Across the world, people are burned alive for their religous belief or their ethnicity. Women are raped and murdered because they are seen as objects instead of people. Maybe we should be more worried about that than dances and free birth control.
Maybe, just maybe, all these idiots should spend a year overseas serving people who have real troubles. Then maybe they would stop being so self-centered and start caring about things that really matter.

NFL 12 week 2 synopsis
Well, last week I said that the Colts needed to get some help out there for Reggie Wayne. This week, Luck found Donnie Avery. The O-Line found much more of a rhythm, so Luck was able to have some time to stand and deliver a pass. Reggie still showed himself to be the man on that catch before halftime.
Our defense also started to look more like a unit, but I’d have felt better with a healthy Freeney. That said, it felt good to be able to stall AP as well as we did, even if Percy Harvin was still a beast.
The Colts still had plenty of struggles. Donald Brown proved adequate last year, but he’s not making it past the line of scrimmage on most plays. We need a fullback. We also had some help by just stupid penalties by Minnesota. But we cannot assume that the other team will hand the game to us.
Rest of the League:
Cards-Pats. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! Arizona isn’t exactly considered one of the NFL’s power teams, but man did they put it to the Pats in New England. Which I love to see, because Brady is a chump.
Panthers-Saints. Ok, yes, the Panthers showed a lot of potential this year, but man the Saints were bad. I mean, they seem to go through cycles and it’s their turn to be bad, but still.
Texans-Jags. Houston is gunning for another playoff appearance, but is it any wonder that I called that Indy would beat Jacksonville twice?
Fins-Raiders. Miami eventually overtook Oakland in the second half, but this game was back and forth the first half. Who would have guessed that two teams that bad would have made for a game that was this good?
Bengals-Browns. Yet another crushing, close loss for Cleveland, but that’s what they do.
Giants-Buccs. I bELIeve in Eli. The Buccs got off to a big lead, but we all know the Giants don’t even try unless they’re behind in the fourth. Coughlin was right, by the way. Don't lay a hand on my boy Eli.
Eagles-Ravens. Wow. Just wow. The Birdy Bowl was one heck of a game. The Eagles really didn’t deserve to win, but they pulled it out. That’s the way it goes sometimes.
Steelers-Jets. It's TEBOW TIME! That's right, Tebow had playing time. He did a QB draw for a 22 yard gain. Still, it's Tebow. Seahawks-Cowboys. All that proves is last week is a fluke and Romo is a big girl. Rams-Redskins. This game was old school. By that, I mean they let the teams get away with a lot of cheap shots, illegal contact, and roughing the passer. These are the things that make Unitas so great. He played in a day when all that and more was legal. Point is, I can understand Josh Morgan's frustration. But in one selfish act, he put himself and his temper before the team. You cannot do that. Ever. He needs to learn for Eli Manning and let his coach settle it.

Dems and Israel
So... the Dems say that their strong supporters on Israel. You kidding me? They took God and support for Israel out of the DNC platform. This caused a massive firestorm, so Obama ordered them to put it back in.
This was the result.
Are you serious? They just booed God and our closest ally. Yeah, that's real support from a party whose leader, the president, went on an apology tour through the middle east, and has done very little to support Israel. Then again, he's done very little to support anything outside of his campaign and the local country club. But that's not the point.
While claiming solidarity with Israel, he subs a visit, right now, from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. We are being attacked by the Arab world. Iran is building nukes in order to start a war. Israel is trying to keep those nukes from being dropped on their heads and ours. But President Obama is to busy hobnobbing with the "millionaires and billionaires" that he constantly rails against to meet with our most important ally or even attend briefings by the defense department (he's attended less than half this year. Look it up.)
Yeah, I'm sure Israel takes being snubbed as real support. Give me a break.
