Don't tell

Also from the President's State of the Union speech, the repeal of the Don't ask, Don't tell policy. I'm going to make some people mad, but I hope to make since. However you stand on the issue of homosexuality, that policy makes since to me. Why? Equality. Bottom line is there are biggots who would harass and beat a "faggot," to use their biggoted lingo. But if they don't know, they won't do it. It ONLY makes sense to prevent abuses by not bringing up the issue.

Now the possibility of removing the come out and your kicked out, that maybe a possible move, but there's still the thing of men that go into the military usually consider themselves to be macho. And macho men usually tend to be more bigotted. I'm not calling all military men bigots. I have FAR too many military friends to say that. I'm just saying, they're out there. Where I grew up, we called them Rednecks. I wish they weren't, but there's not a lot we can do about that.
